“Fifty Shades of Grey”

I am going to start out by saying if you get offended easily you probably might not want to keep reading.

I started reading this book last week.  My all time record of reading a book of this length, 9 hours total to read.  I have hear so many controversial things.  I love this series! 

When I started reading this it kind of made me blush a little.  I have never in my life read something so “Raunchy”.  But this series has to be my most all time Fav.  Not just because of all the naughty stuff but because there just isn’t any romance and love found anymore. 

This is about a man who only knows one way to live until he meets the women of his dreams.  He lives to inflict pain on women for pleasure.  She it and it isn’t for her so she stops, well he just can’t let her go.  He loves her!  Christian Grey (yes I get this is JUST A BOOK BUT HE SOUNDS HOT)  found another way to Love! 

I talked to my mom who no way would EVER read this book, was telling me about a couple who were married 7 years on the verge of divorce.  The wife read this series and it saved their marriage.

The book is raunchy, lustful, powerful, and amazing.

Not going to lie I had to Google a few things I wasn’t sure about and yes I don’t get why some of those things would be pleasurable but to each their own. 

I read a blog I will not name because she is hilarious but she blogged about this book and I STRONGLY disagree.  She refers to it as “Mommy Porn”.  Well in a sense it kind of is but if you just keep reading it is so much more.  Yes I will agree some of the writing isn’t the best but the story line itself is spot on. 

Seriously what women in their right mind wouldn’t love to have a man who wants to do nothing but take care of her and tell her how beautiful she is everyday.  I am not that girl who wants flowers or to be hovered over but just a little compliment goes a long long way. 

Okay, I am off my soap box now.  I do not think it is degrading because a women has a mind of her own and I can honestly think a a crap load more of things that are way more degrading than being tied up and spanked.  LOL

So now they are talking about a movie.  I am VERY anxious to see how the whips and chains play out in a rated R movie.  They may have to rate the first book NC-17!  I have been racking my brain to who would play the part the best.  I have heard about who wants it and then a friend sent me a picture of a very handsome Latin actor named William Levy.   YUMMY!!!

This is Ian Somerhalder who is actually wanting the part.  I can totally see the bad boy in his eyes. 

I mean seriously look into his eyes who wouldn’t want him to Love you!

My pick for Mrs. Anastasia Steele is the one and only,,,,,

yep she has just the right amount of innocence.

She is so pretty and would do a great job.

 

So again I am apologize if you disagree or find offense to anything I have blogged but I loved the book and fully intend to see this NC 17 movie when it comes out.

Good Ending to a Good Weekend!

So our weekend started out great.  O went and spent the night with Audrey, Mitchum, Christian, Brooke and Bradford (Thanks so much guys). She had a blast and was plum wore out. 

M and I went and did some shopping and bought some shoes and plants.  We pretty much got all of our planting done.  We planted 6 trees and 9 bushes in all.  I have several flowers and hanging plants too.  We are sticking to our Bradford Pear trees (we just love them) and a flowering Crab tree.  We decided to stagger them red and white in front of the house.  Can’t wait till the get bigger and bloom.  Last year he bought me a hanging tree for all my hanging plants and it get some good use out of it too.

I love this time of year.  I love to plant and fully intend to keep it all alive this year.  I stuck with things that I have had awesome luck with every year.  It sort of makes me mad.  I have always bought all my plants from Lowes because they have a one year guarantee, Well most came from there except my trees.  I bought at Camp’s Nursery for 2 for $35 and are bigger than the one I bought 2 year’s ago at Lowes for $50.  hmmm think I got a good deal this time. 

The weekend ended with spending the day with my Granny.  I love her so much and need to start making it a habit to be at her house more.  We ate pizza chit chatted and watched the kiddos play and of course not listen one bit.  We finally got a 3 generation picture of us girls.

I have slacked a bit with my diet and MUST get back with it.

My granny has been planting for years.  She planted this Rose bush a few years ago in a stump and they dug it up last year and threw it against the lattice work on her porch.  Well it took over and rooted through again just sitting on top of the ground and it looks awesome.

Well I will end this I am so happy I got a week and a half with my husband.  I miss him everyday he is gone.  But I must say after awhile it is kind of nice to have the TV back and my chair and now I can nap and not feel guilty.  Just kidding I will miss him everyday still.  Love you Matty.

Quick trip that ended at Hooters

I must start by saying my husband has been home for a week and it has been AWESOME!

We have accomplished a lot around the house and I am in the process of getting bushes and trees planted.  I wish we could put up a privacy fence around the whole 10 acres but oh well.

Saturday Matt, Olivia, and her best friend Audrey and I went to Springfield.  We had a big day planned.  We first took the girls to the zoo and it was so much fun.  It was such a perfect day, the weather was amazing and was not crowded at all. 

 

Then we went to Bass Pro so M could get some new boots for work because his others are pretty sad and worn.  No pictures there it was amazing busy as always and the girls were bored and wanted to go to the mall and shop. 

After that we headed to the mall.  Our goal was to get O some clothes and we all need new tennis shoes.  Well we got some clothes but no luck on the shoes.  As we were leaving we stopped at a booth and they were doing demonstration on a curling wand.  I must say I wasn’t sure about spending $100 on a curling iron but if you know my child her hair DOES NOT curl EVER.  She went ahead and curled both or the girls hair and I was sold. 

I love these two!

O’s hair was still curly the next day.  our new routine is to curl before bed and just touch up in the morning. 

Then my goal was to end up at Olive Garden, Well it was too busy and we had 2 very tired girls. It was not worth the wait so I texted Brooke to make sure it was ok that we went to Hooter’s and well she said yes.  The girls thought is was funny and I have to say the food is amazing.  Yes the girls are wearing kinda skimpy clothes but they have them on. 

Well then it was a sleepover and cleaning Sunday.  It was a good weekend and I am soooooooo glad tomorrow is Thursday bc I am always ready for the weekend.

What an AMAZING Easter Weekend!

I will have to say first and foremost GOD is AMAZING and I thank him for everything he has blessed me with. 

This weekend started off really good. I watched one BEAUTIFUL baby girl Samira.  She was such an angel and it made me miss having a baby around.  And then I took O to Wal-Mart and quickly realized if I had a baby to deal with too I would probably try to sell O to some random stranger.

She was such an Angel.  She slept most of the day so I took advantage and laid down with her and actually took a little nap.  She ate and looked around and then fell asleep again.  I don’t think she actually cried ever.  I think she loves me already and can’t wait for another 2 weeks to have her everyday.  She is definitely gonna be my girl for sure!

I wanted to just hold her and kiss her all day but I refrained and let her sleep not in my arms.  I did hold her for a little bit after she fell asleep and then laid her in my bed.  Stephonie she is an angel baby and you are really lucky she is so good.  I will be your babysitter any time. 

On another note I finally downloaded some new pictures from work and I will say my babies are so special to me and I love catching memories for the parents.  My job isn’t just a job to me I take it very seriously and want the day to flow as easy and calm for them and I am big about a daily routine and it does work.  Very well actually.

Thursday had dinner at my mommas and the girls colored Easter eggs.  This year  we tried a different way to color them.  We used kool-aid and 2/3 cup of water.  They turned out really pretty and I even convinced those silly girls to try the kool-aid.  It was so bitter!

I will say the best part of the weekend is my husband got to come home for the night.  We watched “Immortals” and “Tower Heist”, they were both super good.  I think next weekend we are going to go see “Wrath of the Titans”.  Today has been super lazy and I am getting his clothes washed and then he will hit the road but the good news is he will be back Tuesday or Wednesday for about a week.  WAHOOOOOOOOO!

I miss having my family together everyday but I will say our marriage was strong to begin with and now it is even more I just have a good husband.  Well looking forward to the next few days when he will be back and we can get some things done this week.
